Today Tolkien scholar and essayist Michael Martinez launches a new series of previously unpublished articles about Middle-earth. Dubbed Middle-earth Unplugged, the series promises to give fans an inside view of Middle-earth from the perspective of contemporary characters.
Articles will include pictures of objects and places representative of the Middle-earth that J.R.R. Tolkien described in his books. Fans will be able to explore an unvarnished perspective on Middle-earth that reflects Tolkien’s words, artwork, and themes.
A new article will be published each week here on Middle-earth at Xenite.Org. The articles are designed to draw readers into the minds and thoughts of the inhabitants of Middle-earth as the great events of Tolkien’s stories unfold or loom in the near future.
The premier article is “The Eldar Get Their Game On”, which takes a look at the preparations leading up to the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, the greatest battle between the Eldar and Morgoth in the First Age.
So we invite you join us every Wednesday for a new article in this innovative series, Middle-earth Unplugged.
