Best 10 Lord of the Rings Replica Weapons (Swords!)

If you’re looking for Lord of the Rings replica weapons, you’ve found the right place. I’ve included swords, axes, knives, and maces from the Lord of the Rings and related Tolkien and Middle-Earth works on this page.

Some of these Lord of the Rings replica swords are little more than toys. Others are beautiful reconstructions appropriate for the most discerning cosplayers. All of them are highly rated for the right customer.

Please note that this is a reader-supported website, and I might earn a small commission from any purchases you make from this page. This doesn’t change the price you pay, though.

1 – Anduril, the Sword of King Elessar

Anduril by United CutleryUnited Cutlery is the premier maker of these kinds of replicas, and my favorite of their products is Anduril, Sword of King Elessar.

This sword is almost 53 inches long with a blade length of about 40 inches. The blade is made from stainless steel, and the handle is leather with a silver-plated finish. The fittings are 24K gold.

This replica sword comes with a wooden plaque that’s perfect for displaying your new trophy.

2 – Sting, the Sword of Bilbo Baggins

This replica of Sting is an exact duplicate of the sword as used in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit movies. WETA Workshop built this sword, which is marketed and sold by United Cutlery.

Sting comes with a certificate of authenticity and a wooden plaque you can mount the sword on.

The sword is 22 and a half inches long including the handle.

Sting is significantly more affordable than Anduril, which makes sense if you think about it.

3 – Orcrist, the Sword Of Thorin Oakenshield

Obviously, Orcrist, the sword of Thorin Oakenshiled, isn’t featured in The Lord of the Rings. Instead, it’s from The Hobbit.

As far as cool-looking swords go, this is about as good as it gets in the Middle-Earth, Tolkien replica swords market.

Orcrist is considerably longer than Sting, of course, but it’s also shorter than Anduril, which makes sense. It’s almost 39 inches long, with an almost 26-inch blade made of stainless steel.

As with the first two swords on this list, Orcrist comes from United Cutlery and comes with a wood display and a silkscreen graphic.

4 – First Age Spiders Bane Elven Foam Short Sword

So far, the swords on this page have cost between $100 and $200, but this is a more affordable replica weapon. The Spiders Bane Elven Foam Short Sword is made of foam. It would make for a cool addition to a Tolkien-themed LARP or cosplay event, but it’s not something you’d necessarily want to display.

Practically anyone can afford this Lord of the Rings sword, as it’s the most affordable item on this list. It’s basically just a toy rather than a replica or a movie prop.

5 – High Elven Warrior Sword

The High Elven Warrior Sword is possibly the most expensive sword on this list. It’s another United Cutlery product, so the quality is excellent. I was surprised at the price because I expected it to be more affordable because it wasn’t a named sword from a named character.

Go figure.

Nonetheless, it’s a big sword with a big leather handle — this is probably where the price comes from because the handle has a beautiful brass plate with a vine design on it that looks suitably Elvish.

The sword is almost 50 inches long, but only 24 inches of that is blade — the rest of it is that big, decorated handle.

This one’s not cheap, but you MIGHT be able to find it on sale — check the latest price here.

6 – Sting (The Sword from The Hobbit)

Bilbo's sword Sting by the Noble CollectionThis version of Sting comes from a different manufacturer and has a distinctly different look to it. This one is officially licensed by Warner Brothers, so it’s more connected to the movies than the books.

It has about the same dimensions as the other Sting on this list — it’s about 22 inches long.

You can show it off on the wall with the included metal display devices.

Click here to compare this price with the other one. (When I shopped prices, this one was ever-so-slightly more expensive than the other one.)

7 – Orcrist Sword

This Orcrist sword is another version of Thorin’s sword, and like #6, it’s the officially licensed version. The biggest difference in the versions seems to be the metal display equipment, which is ornate and attractive.

It’s 39.5 inches long.

8 – WETA Workshop Hobbit Prop Replica Balin’s Mace Toy

WETA Workshop produce this prop replica of Balin’s mace from The Hobbit trilogy. The big selling point is that the company that created this prop is the same company that built the props for the actual films, so you can expect it to look just as good as what you saw onscreen. They used the same molds to create this replica as they used to create the same prop for the films.

The weapon in question is a long mace with a flat, copper blade. It’s been described as having a fiery look.

This one isn’t cheap, but it’s beautiful.

9 – Hobbit 15″ Dwarven Battle Axe

This 15″ Dwarven Battle Axe is one of the more affordable replica weapons on this list. As a more affordable version of these weapons, it’s made from plastic and foam.

This is not actually a replica of a weapon featured in the Lord of the Rings movies; it’s from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. I think it’s close enough for most of the collectors and cosplayers visiting my site, though.

The battle axe is produced by The Bridge Direct.

10 – The Fighting Knives Of Legolas Greenleaf

I’ve saved the best for last. These officially licensed replicas of Legolas’s fighting knives are awesome.

Each knife is 24 inches long and features gold-colored American oak handles along with ornate, engraved blades.

These are sold in sets of two.

Like most of the items on this page, the fighting knives of Legolas Greenleaf are a product of United Cutlery.

Conclusion

I’m sure you have your own reasons for wanting Lord of the Rings replica swords (or other weapons). Maybe you just want something cool to display in your den or your game room. Maybe Halloween is coming up and you need it for a costume. Or maybe you’re going to a convention and want to cosplay.

No matter your reasons, I’m confident you’ll be satisfied with the Middle-Earth and Tolkien themed weapons I’ve researched here.
